There should be all kinds of drinks flowing on your wedding night! Beer over here, wine over there, but have you ever thought about hosting a signature cocktail? A signature cocktail is any unique or original drink that expresses the nature of the person hosting it. A signature cocktail is such an amazing way to create a beautiful drink that tastes great and also expresses something about the person who designed it.
Want to know that best thing about serving signature cocktails…THERE ARE NO RULES! You can choose to serve whatever you’d like! If you want to serve a vodka cranberry because that is your favorite, then by all means do it. If you like AMF’s (for whatever reason) then go for it. You can have a bartender making individual signature cocktails or you can have large pitchers full of the pre-made beverage so that it is easier to get them out to the guests.
Guess what? You can even have more than one signature cocktail at your wedding if you want! Often times, couples do not enjoy the same drinks and may want to have separate ones. You can also serve 3 or 4 if you want your guests to have some signature drink options. It is entirely up to you, as it is your day!
Signature cocktails can be a great budget saver too if you decide on ones that aren’t too expensive. Sometimes bar tabs add up extremely quick but if you opt for just hosting a signature drink, you can control the costs a bit more. Instead of paying for all of the alcohol during the evening, you can simply pay for the signature cocktail and have guests pay for anything they want to drink other than that.
If your venue doesn’t serve hard alcohol, there are still other signature drinks that you can serve with wine and beer as well! You can serve wine cocktails, wine slushies, beer slushies, or even micheladas and chavelas. I will include some of those recipes below too!
